I LOVE teaching art and so enjoy getting to know you and your kids in all your lovely uniqueness. Thank you so much for this beautiful privilege; I do not take it for granted. In order to keep the classroom orderly and the business side of Kimberly V. Art running smoothly, I have constructed a framework of fairness and community care through these Policies and Release of Liability:

Registration:

Your student's place in the class is only guaranteed for the specified duration and class time of your registration. If you need to make a change please re-register. Classes fill up and I want to keep it a fair and organized process.

Attendance:

You must call at least 24 hours ahead of your class start time to be given rescheduling privileges for. When you sign your student up for "Session" classes you sign them up for 4 weeks of classes. If you cancel 24 hours before a session begins you may choose a full refund or rescheduling. Once a session begins, if the student is unable to attend a class, please let me know and you will be given the opportunity to attend a different class (where space is available) 1 time per session. The make-up is non-transferable to another student and is only for use with the same type of class.

Payment:

By the 1st day of a new session your payment must be made or your P.O./Voucher must be listed or a paper form given to me at the beginning of the first class. All charters have the expressed rule of not teaching students unless their P.O./Voucher is in place. Once a session begins, there are no refunds.

Behavior:

It is deeply important to me to create an atmosphere of joyous creativity. We all learn, process and create in so many different ways. In order to give everyone the best opportunity to learn, I maintain a calm and courteous atmosphere. In my classroom I have listed rules to promote this environment; they are:

★ RELAX! and find the fun in the process

★ Honor each other ~ Your words and actions must display care of others - absolutely NO harsh words, inappropriate conversation or behavior is tolerated

★ Be supportive and encouraging ~ to YOURSELF (this is the one I have to remind students of the most!) and others

★ Open your ears and eyes to NEW ways of doing things

★ Be diligent and ready to learn

★ BE TEACHABLE

Students that are not able to accept and implement these rules (after sufficient instruction/opportunity to change) will not be invited to continue to participate. Please know - I understand wiggles and silliness, and I have rarely had a problem that a good, loving conversation hasn't fixed; I protect all my students like they are my kiddos.

Release of Liability

By checking "Yes" to the Policies in the Registration form you are agreeing to the following:

"I am the parent or legal guarding of the Participant. I have read this document, and I am signing it freely. I understand the legal consequences of signing this document, including (a) releasing Kimberly V. Art from all liability on my and the Participant's behalf, (b) waiving my and the Participant's right to sue Kimberly V. Art, (c) and assuming all risks of Participant's participation in KVArt Classes, including travel to and from the KVA Studio or any events incidental to Kimberly V. Art. Kimberly V. Art will be held harmless any transmission of Covid while on the property. I understand that I am responsible for the obligations and acts of the Participant as described in this document. I agree to be bound by the terms of this document."
